While staying with Paige and David in Auckland we went for a drive up the coast and visited one of the best, if not the best, Kauri Museum in NZ. Situated in Matakohe its well worth the hour and a half drive to get there! |

The cool thing about the museum is that everything can be touched! Paige played a few tunes on one of the many piano's that are in the museum. Whetu and Eimi had a go as well. |

To finish up our short visit to Auckland we headed out to the hot pools near Orewa! Scott had been here 13 years earlier while training with the Army at Whangaparoa! Thankfully it wasn't nearly as cold as Hanmer Springs so we made full use of the water slides without half freezing to death. |
