Chelsea was amazing! As someone who knows very little about plants, I really enjoyed the ideas and the thought which went in to the gardens. My favourite was the show winner, Julian Dowle's nostalgic vision of 'blighty' representing the soldiers dream of home during the wartime years. |

The Ecover Chelsea Pensioners' garden was complete with bunting, dig for victory vegetable garden and English pub.
Turf from the grounds of the Royal hospital was the basis of a
wildflower meadow and authentic vegetables from a 1939 catalogue have
been grown by the pensioners, especially for the garden. Go to the bbc website for more pictures and information about the plants used. |
