What's a new years day parade if its not cold, wet and windy? However, through all of that the kids hung on and enjoyed London's new years day parade. According to the official propaganda, the parade is now larger than New York's new years day parade (a fact that maybe useful in a pub quiz perhaps?:)

After a long, wet, day we headed somewhere warm for dinner. Whetu got to eat fugu, Eimii got to eat plain rice and Kate got to play with her first set of chop sticks :)
