Eimii and Michelle finished school on the 21st of July so we decided to head over to Devon for a long weekend. We also invited Georgia, Eimii's best friend, to come with us too (to keep Eimii busy:) So we left around 7am Saturday morning, quick stop at Jason's to pick up his tent and we were on our way! 6 hours later we finally got to Croyde Bay in North Devon. We left home without making any accommodation arrangements, just assuming we could rock on up but the first two camp sites we stopped at were full. However on the main road in to Croyde was a really nice campsite that only catered for families and couples, no singles or leery teenage groups allowed! :)

While in Croyd we also caught up with a couple of wonderful friends and had dinner with them on Saturday and Monday. Tracie and Rob mentioned that we should visit Croyde Bay and we were so happy to have taken their advice. It is such a lovely part of England and is an entire world away from London, its just a pity Scott's work doesn't move out there!

Putsborough Beach, reminded Scott a lot of Mahia :)

After dinner on Sunday we drove down the road to Putsborough Beach and were there to watch the sun set!
Eimii and Georgia - Surfer Chicks!
From the steps down to the beach to the water when we first arrived in the morning was probably a good couple hundred feet of sand. However late in the afternoon when the tide came in everyone had to move quickly to get all their stuff further up the beach or it would have got washed away!
The father of the kids had spent the previous 6 hours making his sand castle, only for it to be washed away in around 5 minutes when the tide came in.
Another tough day for Scott at the beach :)
